Dr. Mike Ayers

Mike was the founding and lead pastor of The Brook Church in NW Houston for 25 years (Jan. 1995 to Oct. 2020). He led the church from meeting in one home with four families into a thriving church community.

Mike is currently an Adjunct Professor of Leadership Studies at College of Biblical Studies, Houston. He holds a B.A. from Howard Payne University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University.

Mike regularly contributes to the church ministry blogs of Midwestern Seminary and Union Baptist Association. 

Mike has years of experience in public speaking/teaching and developing leaders in church, para-church and business environments. He is also a former trainer for the Houston Church Planting Network.

Mike's relaxed style and authentic teaching equips, empowers and inspires audiences in practical matters of Christian living, and leadership for professional and personal development.
 
Mike is the author of a book on Christian leadership called Power to Lead: 5 Essentials for the Practice of Biblical Leadership.
